Year started with Sovereign: 2018

I first started at Sovereign in 2018 as an Apprentice Designer in the Design Team. I learnt my trade here with regards to producing exciting playground designs whilst also keeping to the clients’ requirements and budgets from the briefs sent in by the Area Sales Managers. Not realising that one day, I would in fact be one of those Area Sales Managers sending in my own projects! I’ve always been quite creative and technically minded, therefore working for Sovereign was the perfect career for me.

I carried on in the Design team, gaining experience and knowledge up until late 2023, where I then asked if I could go into the Sales Team. The chance to use the knowledge I gained from my years in design and combine that with meeting clients and designing their playgrounds was a perfect opportunity. It’s so rewarding to see a project come to life, from the initial discussions with the client, to visiting once it has been installed and seeing the children enjoying what we’ve created as a company.

Outside of work, I live in South Essex, where you’ll find me either watching football or F1, playing golf, messing around with cars or down the pub with my mates. My girlfriend and I are massively into our travelling and are big foodies, therefore seeing the world and experiencing different cuisines is often what we’re doing or looking into!
