After leaving education I spent nearly 20 years in the Golf Industry as a PGA Golf Professional and Golf Manager at my local championship course. I have had two young girls who changed my world, I soon found myself in our local park almost every day and riding our bikes together to find other parks. The joy on their faces when we find a fantastic playground for their imagination to run wild is so amazing.
Having spent many hours in playgrounds, when I was offered the opportunity to join Sovereign I couldn’t wait to get started. Having the chance to meet clients, discuss, design and deliver a space to create the perfect play environment for other kids is just the most rewarding job.
Outside of work when I’m not taking the kids to swimming, ballet, dance classes, playgrounds, rainbows or sports clubs I try to split the rest of my time between family days out, playing golf, running a pool team in a competitive league and watching my favorite football team Arsenal.
Favourite piece of Sovereign Play equipment:
The Mckay – because it allows many children to use it at once and is both challenging and fun for all ages.
Best thing about my job:
Being able to provide a practical, educational and an exciting area for kids to enjoy.
Favourite playtime game as a child:
The game I used to play the most at school or the park was British Bulldog.
