I have worked for Sovereign for the past 20 years in many different roles, but initially I was the Installation/Operations Manager which involved procurement, manufacture, logistics, scheduling of works and installation quality control.
Since then, the company has grown significantly and for the past 10 years I’ve been Area Manager for the South East. It’s a challenging role, but because of my experiences working in a variety of different positions, problems are often dealt with before they can arise.
I’m married with two grown-up daughters and a beautiful granddaughter. Sport has always been a big part of my life and I particularly enjoy watching football and rugby. I also try to keep myself fit by getting to the gym as much as I can.
I love that my job is so varied, visiting different sites and meeting clients. No two days are ever the same and I really hope to have many more years in my role!
Best thing about my job:
The design process is particularly fulfilling with the highlight being seeing the children enjoying themselves on Sovereign play equipment.
Favourite playtime game as a child:
I was very keen on sport and only really played football and cricket in the playground and street.

“The installation of the new playground has been more successful than we could have ever hoped. The large pergola has made a wonderful shaded area from the sun and we’ve been able to have activities outside when it’s raining too. The surface change has made the transition of outdoors to indoors, much easier, with no need to change muddy shoes or wellies. Bikes and trikes are much easier to manoeuvre around the flat surface. The mud kitchen, climbing unit and adventure mound are firm favourites. Staff and children enjoy the outdoor space so much more!”
