“This project involved the construction of a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) within the school grounds, providing a high-quality sports and recreation facility for pupils of all ages. The development was designed to enhance physical education provision, encourage active play, and support a wide range of sporting activities throughout the academic year.
The works included the installation of a durable black sports surfacing system, offering a safe, hard-wearing, and low-maintenance playing surface suitable for multiple sports. Perimeter fencing was erected around the facility to provide security, contain play activities, and ensure safe use of the area during school hours and extracurricular sessions.
Integrated sports goals were incorporated into the fencing design, maximising available space and creating a versatile environment for football and other ball games. The completed MUGA provides a flexible and inclusive facility that supports curriculum sports, recreational play, and community engagement opportunities.
The project was delivered with a focus on quality, safety, and longevity, resulting in a modern sports facility that promotes health, wellbeing, teamwork, and physical activity for current and future generations of students.”
